Program Description
2 Sessions • 1 Community Experience
Understand Your Nervous System Somatically (Session)
Fri, 11 Sep 2026 • 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM • Sactuary 9 • Max. capacity 13
A guided session translating nervous system science into practical, embodied somatic tools you can genuinely use in everyday life, rather than leaving the concepts purely theoretical. Daphne's facilitation grounds the science of nervous system regulation in direct, felt experience, helping participants understand their own patterns of activation and settling in real time. The guided format keeps the session accessible even without prior somatic training. No prior experience with somatic work is required. Well suited to anyone interested in nervous system literacy as a practical daily-life skill.
Explore Connection through Contact Improvisation (Session)
Fri, 11 Sep 2026 • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM • Sactuary 9 • Max. capacity 13
An open exploration of contact improvisation informed by Body-Mind Centering, treating movement itself as a form of inquiry, connection, and discovery rather than performance or choreography. Daphne's facilitation encourages genuine curiosity and responsiveness between participants, using touch and shared weight as tools for communication rather than display. The open format allows the session to unfold organically based on who's in the room. No prior dance or movement experience is required. Especially rewarding for the movement-curious and anyone drawn to embodied, relational practice.
Unpack Complexity through Nervous System Physiology (Community Experience)
Fri, 11 Sep 2026 • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM • Inspiration 4 • Max. capacity 10
A facilitated talk and experience exploring complexity theory through the lens of nervous
system physiology, where scientific concepts meet somatic, felt understanding rather than
staying purely abstract. Daphne bridges academic framing with direct embodied
exploration, making a genuinely dense topic feel accessible and personally relevant by the
session's end. The format blends presentation with participatory elements
throughout. No prior background in complexity theory or physiology is required.
Well suited to the intellectually curious, as well as those interested in the science
underlying somatic practice specifically.
