Befriending our Core: A Somatic Education Workshop on the Psoas and our Nervous System

Befriending our Core: A Somatic Education Workshop on the Psoas and our Nervous System

In this therapeutic workshop, we're going to address the topic of SAFETY through exploring the developmental process of our core.

Building on our last workshop exploring the different planes of movement through our senses and perception, this workshop will touch on the key principles of the development of our primitive midline and the psoas muscle as our core initiator in moving through space.

The iliopsoas complex is also central to our pelvic health and autonomic functions in sustaining Homeostasis, and coming back to a state of balance and safety. We will also touch on some of the embryological origins and developmental process of how the psoas and other core connections come into being from tummy time to crawling to supporting our cognitive activities in daily life.
